2013 Preliminary Battles Announced

After months of registration, we received sign ups from over 80 producers. We heard from producers all over south-eastern Wisconsin and the midwest. Its tough to slim that number down to 32, so we decided to pick 31. We are going to let you pick the 32nd producer for the 2013 Miltown Beat Down. On March 6th, we will open up an online WILD CARD battle. Any producer who did not make it into this year’s top 31, will get to battle online for votes, to get that coveted 32nd spot.

Our 2013 preliminary battles begin Wednesday March 6th, in our home court, the Jackalope Lounj. This 21+ event will begin at 10:00pm each Wednesday night. Doors open at 9:00pm and the room fills up quick, so be sure to get there early.

This year’s competition will have a new twist, instead of our traditional bracket style battle, we are going to host a ROUND ROBIN style tournament. That means each producer on that night, will battle each other producer there. 4 producers, 6 rounds of battle, 2 action packed hours, and 1 winner.

Producers are listed in order at A,B,C, and D. The evening’s bouts will go like this…

10:00 A vs B
10:20 C vs D
10:40 A vs C
11:00 B vs D
11:20 A vs D
11:40 B vs C
12:00 Winner Announced! ( one winner per night, will move on to the Finals at Turner Hall Ballroom on May 3rd. )

The ? above will be determined on Monday April 15th. The producers who were NOT selected from the over 40 submissions we received this year, and over 80 registrations, will have the chance to battle ONLINE for votes. This will be set up and go live on March 6th and run through April 15th. (more details coming soon)
